Spartan Light Metal Products, a St. Louis-based supplier of aluminum and magnesium custom die castings, was recognized with an Excellent Quality Performance Award from Toyota Motor Engineering 6c Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TEMA). The automaker's Annual Supplier Business Meeting (ABM), held in March at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, Ky., brought together approximately 1,000 supplier representatives from across North America.

Spartan Light Metal Products was among 16 Toyota suppliers to receive this quality award. Spartan's Hannibal, Mo., plant has been recognized for quality by Toyota for five consecutive years. In the U.S., about 60,000 supplier jobs are dedicated to Toyota across more than 30 states. The company collectively spent over S32 billion on parts, goods and services last year in North America.

Spartan has three manufacturing facilities and offices in St. Louis, Detroit, Tokyo and Landstuhl, Germany.
