On January 18th 2017 at exactly 11:18 a.m., the first train cover for a transmission case was successfully cast in the new plant of Chongqing Millison Technology Co., Ltd., in the Banan district Chongqing in China.
Chongqing Millison was founded in 2001 with a clear focus on the die casting industry. Today, the company owns three production sites and employs over 2,000 people. It is a specialist in aluminum and zinc die casting for the automotive and communication industries. The cooperation with major players, like PSA Peugeot Citroën, Tesla, Deutz, or Ericsson, speaks for Millison’s high standards of quality.
Bühler service engineers are making sure everything is ready in time.
Millison has ordered nine Bühler die casting machines within a locking force range of 340 to 2,800 tons and a value of more than ten million Euro. The first shot was cast on a Carat cell with 16,000 kN locking force. As Mr. Yu, president of Millison Die Casting, said, “Bühler stands for high efficiency and technological know-how in the die casting industry. We are happy to work with Bühler’s premium solutions. Additionally, Bühler provides fast and reliable service as we at Millison expected for the production of the first part at our new plant.”
The Carat system has been on the market since 2007. The Bühler solution has come a long way since the first installation of a Carat two-platen system in Austria. Today, over 400 systems have been sold on five continents – more than 120 have been installed in China and another 30 are already ordered by Chinese customers.
